Misdemeanor Court (Class A & B)

The small claims filing fee at JP Precinct 4 is $54.00, with an additional $130.00 service fee payable to the Wilson County Constable. Out-of-state residents (both applicants) pay an additional $100.00 surcharge per Texas Local Government Code 118.011(b)(4). Marriage licenses are available Monday–Thursday 8:00 a.m.–11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m.–4:30 p.m., and Friday until 3:00 p.m. Both applicants must appear in person. The license is valid anywhere in Texas for 90 days but cannot be used until 72 hours after issuance.
Birth and Death Records
Birth and death certificates are restricted records. Only the record subject and immediate family members (spouse, parent/guardian, child, sibling, or grandparent) may obtain certified copies. The vital record application form must be notarized before submission.

Wilson County Probate Court Records

As of January 1, 2016, all probate documents must be e-filed through the county's electronic filing system. Walk-in filings of probate documents are no longer accepted. The County Clerk's Office advises all parties to seek legal counsel before initiating probate proceedings, and directs self-represented parties to Texas Law Help and the Texas State Law Library's self-help resources.
A current probate fee schedule is posted on the county website, and monthly appointments and fees reports are published publicly. When filing a probate application, the following information is required:
- Last three digits of both the applicant's and decedent's driver's license number and Social Security number
- Decedent's date of birth, residential address, and age at time of death
- Decedent's date of death
When e-filing documents, each document within an e-file envelope should be submitted as a separate lead document. Exhibits should be combined with their parent document as a single PDF, not submitted as a separate attachment.
